Well as if the Faxiranje is not enough to amuse an English speaker like me... you can also SCANIRANJE your documents at the same location!!
If you are hungry, why don't you pop down to the fast food joint for a ČIZBURGER (Cheeseburger)? Sounds delicious to you?
And of course the most common swear word in every language has the Croatian version of IDIOTSKA (pardon my language)! Fantastično!
Be back for more!

If you're sick you can go to "Apoteka" (German) or Farmacija (French) for Ljekarna (Croatian).
I guess in Croatia it all depends where you live. The south has a lot of Italian influence, whereas the North and East have a lot of German and Hungarian influence.
In the recent past much effort has been made to "create" Croatian words, but it has failed since more and more young people are choosing to use imported words rather than our own.
Hee.. That I didn't know. We call it Ljekarna here.
I guess coming from Rijeka, there's just so many imported words from everywhere. Americans or Italian!
It's sad to see a language having to borrow words from other cultures! A language is the essence of a culture. If there is an increasing number of borrowed words, it signifies that the culture is heavily influenced by external factors.
